FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- Fort Wayne police report a man was killed when the sport utility vehicle he was driving struck the back of a bus, then hit a center barrier on Interstate 69.
WANE-TV reports preliminary investigation by Fort Wayne police indicates the driver traveling north about 3:30 a.m. Sunday lost control near the Goshen Road exit. Police say after the SUV came to rest, it was struck by a pickup truck whose driver also lost control of his vehicle.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt. His name has not been released. No other injuries were reported.
Northbound lanes of I-69 reopened about 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
