LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- KFC is cooking up some damage control in China -- that's where controversy has arisen over poultry suppliers accused of using drugs to fatten up chickens.
Louisville-based Yum Brands says that caused sales to drop thirty seven percent last month. KFC is promising tighter quality control.
The situation isn't stopping the company from plans to open 700 new KFC restaurants across China this year. KFC is already the largest fast food chain there, with more than four thousand restaurants.
