LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana man who police say shot his wife while she was trying to escape out a window with their three children is in custody.

Frederick Miller was accused of the shooting early Thursday morning at an apartment on Colonial Park Drive in Jeffersonville.  Police say they also recovered the handgun used in the shooting incident

Police say Miller and his wife got into an argument and she tried to get out of the house with their children.  That's when police say he shot his wife twice.

She's expected to be OK.  The children were not hurt.

Miller is charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, interference with reporting of a crime, and neglect of a dependent.
