LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- AAA says the average price of gas for Kentucky drivers is just under the national average. Gas prices in the state average $3.73, while the national average is $3.78.
The national average is for a gallon of regular unleaded, and it's 3.4 cents more than a week ago, 43.5 cents more than one month ago, and 9.4 cents more than a year ago.
AAA says refinery maintenance and the switchover to summer blend gasoline have led to less gas being produced, which means fewer supplies and higher prices. It says higher prices of crude have only driven prices up "somewhat."
