Preservation group wants more historic homes moved from path of bridges project

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- There are already plans to move five historic homes in the path of the Ohio River Bridges Project -- and now a preservation group wants more moved.

The homes in Jeffersonville's historic district were slated to be torn down until a deal was reached with the group.  Now it wants three more homes added to the relocation project.

A settlement among the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the conservation group River Fields, and Indiana and Kentucky transportation officials dedicates $1.7 million to a historic preservation and enhancement fund.
