LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- Actress Ashley Judd is reaching out to Democratic leaders in Kentucky as she considers a run for the U.S. Senate.
Judd hasn't yet said whether she will get in the race, but she's been talking with Gov. Steve Beshear to discuss her options.
Ky. House Speaker Greg Stumbo and Speaker Pro Tem Larry Clark also say they've gotten calls from Judd.
She lives in Tennessee and would have to reestablish residence in Kentucky to take on Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2014.
No Democrats have stepped forward to challenge McConnell, who is the longest-serving U.S. senator in Kentucky history.
