LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- It's a competition to help feed those in our area who can't put enough food on the table.
Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller and Kentucky AG Jack Conway helped launch the 5th annual March Against Hunger food drive competition at Dare to Care Food Bank.
It's a friendly competition that challenges attorneys and law firms to see who can donate the most food to regional food banks.
Dare to Care says it can use the extra help. Executive Director Brian Riendeau explains, "The need for food assistance has never been higher than it is right now. In the last 12 months, Dare to Care has distributed over 13 million meals -- that's a 46 percent increase."
Last year 51 law firms raised more than $51,000 and more than 11,000 pounds of food.
