Tuition freeze at Purdue - WDRB 41 Louisville - News, Weather, Sports Community

Purdue students won't see tuition increases for at least two years

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Purdue University is taking steps to make college tuition more affordable.

Citing the nation's sagging economy, the school is freezing its tuition costs for at least the next two years.

That means the basic in-state tuition at Purdue will stay around $10,000.

Purdue President -- and former Indiana governor -- Mitch Daniels says it's time to hit the "Pause" button on tuition increases while the economy remains stagnant.

Daniels says students and their families deserve an affordable high-value education.
