LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A homeless man already had two murder convictions -- and now he's answering to charges that he's killed again.

James Seay was in court Friday morning, charged with the murder of 61-year-old Orville Avis.

Family members found Avis' body last week inside his Dosker Manor senior living apartment. He was beaten and stabbed to death.

Seay had prior convictions in 1981 and 1996 for murder.

Seay is now charged with murder again, as well as robbery and tampering with evidence.
