LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A proposal that could open the door to industrial hemp farming is not dead yet.
The measure is expected to be voted on tomorrow, and Chairman Tom McKee expects it to pass at the House Agriculture and Small Business Committee.
He had proposed rewriting the bill so the state can license hemp, if the federal government lifts restrictions on growing it.
But, police worry hemp fields will be used to camouflage marijuana, which has identical leaves.
