OSGOOD, Ind. (AP) -- Authorities say three high school students have died in a traffic accident in rural southeastern Indiana.
The Ripley County Sheriff's Office says Thursday's crash involved students at South Ripley High School.
WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio, reports six students were traveling in two pickup trucks, three in each truck. The trucks collided when one ran a stop sign.
The station says the students were returning to school after participating in a Future Farmers of America event at a church. The crash occurred a rural intersection about 45 miles west of Cincinnati.
WLWT says the injured teens were being treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Their names and conditions were not immediately available.
Messages were left with an Indiana State Police spokesman.
