Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville jury recommends 20 years in prison for a man convicted in a child abuse case.

Earlier Thursday, jurors found Lawrence Webster guilty of manslaughter and of being a persistent felony offender.

He had been on trial for the physical abuse of his girlfriend's three-year-old child in Shively in October 2011.

The coroner ruled the child died of blunt force trauma while he was in Webster's care.

He will have to serve ten years before he's eligible for parole.
