LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man after they say he threw his 11-month-old daughter so hard, he broke her leg.

According to an arrest warrant, the events took place on Jan. 11. Police say 22-year-old Joseph Keith got into an argument with the child's mother.

During the argument, Keith allegedly picked up his 11-month-old girl and slammed her down so hard the child's leg was broken.

Police and Child Protective Services were called, and the girl was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital for treatment.

Keith was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. Friday and charged with first degree criminal abuse.
