LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man they say placed a webcam in the bedroom of a child.
According to an arrest report, the incident was discovered on Dec. 30, 2012, when a woman allegedly found nude images of one of her child family members on an iPad belonging to 49-year-old Cameron Steele.
Steele knew the child, according to police.
When confronted about the images, Steele allegedly told the woman he had entered the child's bedroom and, while inside, hid a webcam there.
Shortly after he was confronted about this, police say he retrieved the webcam, destroyed it, and began deleting images from the iPad.
Police were contacted and launched an investigation. They allegedly found several computer files containing child pornography in Steele's possession.
Steele was arrested on Thursday afternoon and charged with possession of matter portraying the sexual performance of a minor, tampering with physical evidence and voyeurism, according to the arrest report.
