LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- So many students are sick in Berea, Kentucky that a school district there has cancelled classes.
The superintendent of Berea Community Schools says attendance dropped below 90 percent yesterday -- too low to continue school. Classes were called off for today, but will resume Monday.
He's hoping the extra day off will give students time to get better and give custodial staff to go through and disinfect everything.
This district is the latest in the region to close for illness.
