Judge to decide whether father and son accused of murder will be tried together

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Will a father and son accused of killing a teen be tried together?  A judge will have to decide.

Joshua Gouker and his son, Joshua Young, are set to stand trial together in April.

They're both accused of murdering Trey Zwicker, who was Gouker's step-son, and Young's step-brother.  The 14-year-old was found beaten to death behind Liberty High School in May of 2011.

Young's attorneys want the trial split, but the prosecution wants them tried together.
