Louisville, KY (WDRB)-- Gamers rejoice. The classic arcade games have returned and this time there's no need for quarters.
The 3rd annual Louisville Arcade Expo is attracting hundreds of gamers and pinball wizards.
Organizers wanted to put together a showcase of the so-called greatest era of gaming from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Best of all, playing the games is free.
It's meant to celebrate a time when the organizer says games were more simple and fun.
"Arcades for some reasons died off in the states and we want to recreate that with the blinging lights of the machines, the pinballs and the Ha-dookins of the street fighter machines too," said Joe Stitch, participant.
The Louisville Arcade Expo runs through Sunday afternoon at the Ramada Inn Convention Center right off Interstate 64 and Hurstbourne Parkway.
