Louisville, KY (WDRB)-Studio Nulu hosted a prom Saturday night for one very special young lady who may never get to attend one of her own.
6-year-old Miley Hodge was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer just last year and since then, her family's time has been spent in and out of the hospital.
Miley is undergoing chemotherapy right now so part of the goal of the prom party was to raise funds. The other part was to surround Miley with friends, family and fun.
"She doesn't know what's going on. She just knows she has cancer. She knows she's sick and I'm going to keep her right there. I want to keep her happy and not have to worry about what's going to happen down the road," said Bert Woodrome, Miley's dad.
Hundreds of people attended the prom. Local businesses donated food.
