LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they arrested an intruder who was found in a Louisville hospital Monday morning, wearing a labcoat, scrubs and a face mask.
It happened at Norton Hospital at the corner of E. Chestnut Street and S. Brook Street, shortly before 5 a.m.
Police say they were called to the hospital after security found 52-year-old Patrick Campbell dressed as a member of hospital staff, despite the fact that he didn't work there.
When police confronted Campbell, he allegedly told them that he was homeless, "so he found a bed on the 1st floor in a secured area and stayed at least one night."
Police say he wore the uniform, "so as to appear that he belonged there."
Hospital security employees allegedly told police that they found Campbell using a computer, but hospital officials tell us it did not contain any patient information.
Campbell was arrested and charged with unlawful access to a computer and criminal trespassing, according to the arrest report. Both charges are misdemeanor counts.
