Ky. superintendent says more transparency required for contracts
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More transparency for superintendent salaries and contracts in Kentucky schools will be required in the future, says Kentucky Education Commissioner Terry Holliday.
Holliday says districts will be required to make superintendent contracts, benefits and evaluations available online.
This comes after a series of school district examinations found a lack of transparency and oversight.
The Kentucky Department of Education will soon send a letter to all school board chairs outlining the reporting requirements, and the process and deadline for submission.
This plan came as a recommendation from Auditor Adam Edelen.
