Louisville, KY (WDRB) -- You may have noticed some extra activity going on at Fourth Street Live! on Friday.
The local MS chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society was cycling on stationary bikes and walking on treadmills to raise awareness about the disease.
Two million people worldwide are known to have MS and experts believe five times that amount may have it without even knowing.
They say that's because the course of MS is unpredictable, making it hard to get a diagnosis quickly.
Symptoms are broad. They range from blurred vision, weakness and loss of balance.
"MS is a serious diagnosis and it's something that really affects people's lives," said James Mountain, a Physical Therapist with Norton Neuroscience and Spine Rehabilitation Center.
