Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has a new home thanks to Norton Healthcare volunteers.
Kenny Davis got the keys to his home in the Smoketown neighborhood Saturday. Norton Healthcare's "Raise the Roof" effort is a partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
The volunteers began working on the house in October. Davis says he learned a lot of skills along the way, but never thought he'd own his own home.
"It'll probably have to take about three days for it to dawn on me that I'm living in my own home. Because I'm 54-years-old and I never had my own home. I always lived with people. Like I said it's probably gonna take a little while to sink in, but once it do, everything's gonna be good," said Davis.
