LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More students could soon be eligible for Indiana's private school voucher program.
A bill to expand the private school voucher program will go before state senators this week.
The proposal would let kindergartners, and some other students get vouchers right away.
At the moment, students have to spend at least a year in public school first before they are eligible for the private school voucher. But, some senators say to be wary of making exceptions.
Other lawmakers say the expansion won't cost very much because private schools already have limits to how many students they can accept.
