GAS CITY, Ind. (AP) -- Indiana State Police have arrested two people after a north central Indiana woman was slain.
A roommate discovered the body of 29-year-old Ashley Rheam of Gas City on Saturday. The Marion Chronicle-Tribune reports she was fatally shot.
Police say the body was found about five hours after Rheam reported a burglary at her home about 45 miles southwest of Fort Wayne. Gas City police investigated and found a rear door had been kicked in and electronic items taken. Officers didn't find any suspects there at that time.
Police say 23-year-old Tyrell Lenoir of Marion and a 17-year-old male both are being held with bond on preliminary counts of murder and robbery.
Police say a car taken from Rheam's home was later found abandoned in Marion, about five miles away.
