LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --- Two Silver Creek High School students have been arrested for the murder of a man whose body was found inside a Sellersburg, Ind. home earlier this month, according to police.
Chris Jared Sowders, 18, and Garreth Edward Stephens, 19, are both charged with murder and burglary. Both men are Sellersburg residents.
The body of 48-year-old Steven Baldwin was found inside a home on Plum Woods Drive in Sellersburg, Ind. on March 11.
Police are calling it a burglary that turned deadly.
Police say Baldwin's brother-in-law found his body and called police.
Investigators say there was very little blood from the fairly close-range gunshot wound.
Police say four people, including Baldwin, his wife, stepson and brother-in-law, lived in the house. We're told the family is still living there. Police believe the two suspects have some sort of connection with Baldwin's stepson. They're crediting the community for information that led to their arrest.
