LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was attacked and stabbed six times when he was leaving Starbucks.
He says he's only alive today because other customers took quick action.
"I got probably six or seven feet from my car and I said sir, you're making me very nervous would you please leave. give me my space, I'm leaving. after those words, I saw the knife come out and he shoved it into me," said Jerry Kush.
It happened just outside a Starbucks in Vancouver, Washington.
Jerry Kush says he fell to the ground as the man kept stabbing him.
Those nearby jumped in, pulling Kush's attacker away from him, sitting on him and using shovels to keep him under control until police arrived.
Scott Fandrich is now charged with attempted murder.
Investigators say it's unclear what prompted the attack.
