LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police were called to the 1200 block of west Broadway just 8:30 a.m. to keep order after a crowd gathered outside a shoe store.

Devores at 1211 west Broadway was set to begin selling Nike's latest shoe -- the Air Foamposite One 'White' -- when the store opened at 9 a.m.

A witness told WDRB News that some people in the crowd became impatient and tried to jump ahead of others in line.

According to the Nike Insider website, the shoe "features a stark, monochromatic upper, with an iced-out sole as the perfect accent. The Nike Air Foamposite One ‘White' is another in a long line of must-have Foamposite styles."

LMPD officers kept the crowd in line. There were no injuries and no property damage reported.

The shoes retail for $225 a pair.
