Indy police officers pull man from burning car

LOUISIVLLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two Indianapolis police officers are nursing second degree burns - after they pulled a man from a burning car.

Sergeant Dale Marshall was off duty and driving to the grocery store when he was flagged down.

When he saw the burning car, he called for help.

It took Marshall and a second officer several tries because the smoke and flames were so intense.

They were finally able to pull the man out of the vehicle.

The victim is recovering after receiving second degree burns.
