Mayor out of office for months after flooding

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's mayor will be out of his normal office for about three months.

That's how long it'll take to repair and clean up parts of Metro Hall, damaged by a pipe bursting just over a week ago. The flooding in the office wasn't discovered until later in the afternoon when water was already ankle deep in the mayor's office and other rooms.

Those offices have been relocated elsewhere in the 160-year-old building. Restoration officials wouldn't give an estimate for clean-up costs.
