LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is accused of stabbing a man 10 times -- and now he's charged with attempted murder.

According to an arrest report, 22-year-old Montra L. Huddleston stabbed his neighbor nine times in his torso and once in his back with a steak knife on the night of March 25.

Huddleston and the victim lived in the same apartment complex, near the intersection of Gilmore Lane and Preston Highway. Police say Huddleston lived in the apartment above the victim and had known the victim for several months. He also allegedly admitted to being marijuana dealer.

The victim was taken to the hospital and had to have extensive surgery to repair a heart ventricle.

He was able to identify Huddleston as his assailant via a photo.

Huddleston was arrested on Monday and charged with attempted murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to the arrest report.

The weapon was never found.
