LOUISIVLLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Finding a cure to Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Autism and much more.

President Obama calls on Congress to fund a massive project that would map the human brain.

The President says spending $100 million dollars on the BRAIN Initiative could create jobs and unlock its mysteries.

"Think about what we could do once we do crack this code. Imagine if no family had to feel helpless watching a loved one disappear behind the mask of Parkinson's or struggle in the grip of Epilepsy," President Obama said.

The President says scientists have said they could fall behind competitors in other countries because they do not get enough government funding.
