LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Many fans were pulling for Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence to be this year's grand marshal for the Pegasus Parade.
But that's not going to happening.
The head of the Kentucky Derby Festival says the organization asked the Academy Award-winning actress to host the parade before she won the Oscar, but Lawrence is such a hot commodity at the moment that she just won't be available for the parade.
KDF officials say they have extended a standing invitation for Lawrence to serve as grand marshal for any year she can make it.
Lawrence won an Oscar this year for her role as "Tiffany" in "Silver Linings Playbook."
