LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A small earthquake rocked parts of Kentucky Tuesday night.

Officials say the 2.7 magnitude quake rumbled through parts of western Kentucky, southeastern Missouri and western Tennessee around 10:30 last night.

Reports from Paducah say the epicenter of the tremor was southeast of Portageville, Missouri. The area is along the New Madrid line, which experts consider the most active zone in North America, east of the Rocky Mountains.

There have been no reports of any damage.
