LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Racing kicks off at Keeneland this weekend.
The 16-day spring meet starts Friday. Expect to see a lot of new things at the track that officials hope will enhance the experience for racing fans. Those heading to Keeneland also need to be aware about a major construction project underway on U.S. 60 - Versailles Road.
Officials are suggesting that fans get there early.
"We're doing some special things in our tailgate lot and around the grounds to give additional activities to provide assistance to people who want to come to this place and get to enjoy an extra hour of sunshine," said Bill Thomason, president and CEO of Keeneland. "So you can get here early, stay late. Nothing wrong with doing that either."
