LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tonight is your chance to see what all goes into Thunder Over Louisville.

Starting at 5 p.m., fans of the fireworks and the air show can see some of the planes up close, learn how the fireworks are made, jump on the bouncies or take a helicopter ride. You can even meet with the pilots.

Despite not having military planes in this year's air show, producers promise an exciting display over the river before the fireworks.

You can get in free for tonight's Thunder Preview Party at Bowman Field with a 2013 Pegasus Pin or a McDonald's Thunder Funder cup.

The party runs from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thunder Over Louisville will take place on Saturday, April 20.
