LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- The U.S. soldier accused of shooting and killing a Fort Knox civilian employee is expected to be in court today.
Marquinta Jacobs was arrested yesterday in Tennessee.
He's expected to appear in federal court in Bowling Green, Ky., today on federal murder charges -- but officials say the federal charges will be dropped, and Jacobs will be turned over to be charged by the Army.
Federal documents say a witness saw the shooting after Jacobs and the victim had a verbal argument in a parking lot at Fort Knox.
Investigators say they think the shooting was a domestic issue, not a random act of violence.
