LOUISIVLLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Fort Knox soldier charged with killing a civilian employee will be tried in military court.
Marquinta Jacobs appeared in federal court in Bowling Green this morning.
Federal murder charges against him were dropped, and he was turned over to military investigators.
Federal documents say a witness saw the shooting after Jacobs and the victim had a verbal argument in a parking lot at Fort Knox Wednesday night.
Investigators say they think the shooting was a domestic issue.
Jacobs was arrested yesterday in Tennessee.
The name of the victim has not been released.
