Indy taxpayers expected to pay up to $2 million to build new luxury suite at Lucas Oil Stadium

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It pays to cheer on your team and rooting for the Indianapolis Colts is about to cost a little more.

Taxpayers in Indy will pay up to $2 million to build two new luxury suites at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The city's capitol improvement board approved the plan yesterday.

The Colts must also give the board about 70-thousand dollars to settle a dispute over concessions revenue.

A 10% admissions tax was also approved at the stadium.

The City-County Council raised the tax from 6 percent in January over objections from the team.
