LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An important development is expected to come in the possible re-opening of Kentucky Kingdom.
A state agency is expected to give final approval to tax incentives for the investment group headed by businessman Ed Hart.
Hart's group has requested one-million dollars a year in sales tax rebates for 10 years. Hart has until mid-May to decide whether to move ahead with the re-opening of the amusement park. His group says it will invest more than 40 million dollars to bring Kentucky Kingdom back to life.
The park has been closed since 2009, and Hart says he's optimistic it could re-open next year.
