LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's Secretary of State is taking a big trip to Taiwan.@
Alison Lundergan Grimes is one of six Secretaries of State leaving for the trip Wednesday. She says she'll use the visit to promote economic development in Kentucky, and will focus on absentee voting procedures for Kentuckians living abroad. Before returning next week, the group will visit several cities in Taiwan, which is one of Kentucky's chief trade partners.
Several Kentucky companies including Brown Forman and Lexmark have offices there.
Kentucky exported nearly 300 million dollars worth of goods to Taiwan in 2011.
