Junior ROTC students have a new training place

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Junior ROTC members in Jeffersontown have a new place to train that's a first in Kentucky.

Tonight, a new obstacle course was dedicated at J-town High School.

It's the first in the state for a Marine JROTC program.

It will be used for training, and to host competition with other JROTC programs.

But, it will also be open to other sports and activities at Jeff High, to help with physical fitness and team-building.

The obstacle course was paid-for by the JROTC Parents Association and the City of Jeffersontown, as well and local businesses and other members of the public.
