Celebrating its 26th year, the Dare to Care Food Bank "Taste of Derby Festival" happens Wednesday, April 17th, 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Pavilion at Louisville Slugger Field.
The "Taste of Derby Festival" is one of the most popular events of the Kentucky Derby Festival and the largest fundraising event for Dare to Care Food Bank, raising $110,000 for the organization last year.
Guests will experience good food from more than 50 of Louisville's finest restaurants, bourbon tasting, and wine tasting. See who wins the "Best Bloody Mary Contest" and walks away with the "People's Choice Award". Attendees will be eligible to participate in a silent auction with items donated from all over Kentuckiana.
Tickets are $80 each ($50 of which may be tax deductible)
NO TICKETS will be sold at the door and admission is restricted to 21 years of age and over.
In 2012, Dare to Care Food Bank helped more than 192,000 people in Kentuckiana. Dare to Care partners with more than 300 food pantries, emergency kitchens and shelters in eight Kentucky and five Indiana counties.
