LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Indiana House has approved a school security plan to help ensure the safety of students in Indiana schools.
The Stripped Down proposal would start a state grant program to help Indiana school districts hire police officers and buy safety equipment.
A proposal that would've required gun-carrying employees at all public schools was removed from the bill last week.
The measure now heads to the Senate which has proposed spending ten million dollars a year on the safety grant program.
