New Albany woman wins $1 million in Hoosier Lottery

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A New Albany woman is now $1 million richer.  Jane Cobb went to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters to claim her prize.

She matched all five numbers, but not the Powerball number to win $1 million.  She bought the winning ticket at the Kroger store in New Albany.

Cobb and her husband are both retired.  She worked at Floyd Memorial Hospital in finance for more than 30 years.

A Powerball ticket purchased at Circle K on Hamburg Pike in Jeffersonville is also worth a million dollars.  That prize has not yet been claimed.
