LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- There are about 800 potential jurors from Dearborn County, Indiana for the William Clyde Gibson trial.
Jury questionnaires have been coming back to Floyd County Superior Court. After the list is narrowed down, the prosecutor's office plans to go up to Dearborn County to question the jurors.
Steven Owen, Chief Deputy Prosecutor, explains, "Logistically you can't have everyone in the courtroom, so I believe it's going to be split up into smaller groups. So we'll start off with those smaller groups and because of the nature, there will be individual voir dire where we will question jurors individually."
Once jurors are selected, they'll be brought to Floyd County where Gibson will go on trial in the July death of Christine Whitis. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
Gibson is also accused of killing Stephanie Kirk and Karen Hodella. Prosecutors are hoping to set his second trial date at next week's hearing.
