The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Louisville and Notre Dame will play in football in the 2014 season, U of L's first in the ACC, according to an NBC executive.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- NBC and Notre Dame announced Thursday that they have renewed their football broadcast deal for another decade, and the University of Louisville should come up on the Fighting Irish schedule quickly.
Notre Dame agreed to play five ACC opponents a year beginning next season, so U of L figured to hit the schedule quickly. It may be sooner than later, though, according to Miller, who said it's also possible that some Fighting Irish games could move to prime time.
U of L has been in talks with Notre Dame about a football game in the past, but its move to the ACC looks to be the catalyst that should finally make it happen. Miller did not say whether the game would be played in Louisville or South Bend.
