Two Louisville men arrested in connection with string of robberies
LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police end a string of robberies by putting two men behind bars.
Xavier Porter and Dmitry Kontarovich were arrested Thursday night. Police caught up with the two shortly after they reportedly robbed the Adam and Eve store on Hurstbourne Parkway.
They did have to chase the suspects for a short time, but they were arrested, according to officials. Porter would enter a business with a shotgun and demand money, added Metro Police.
In one robbery officers say Porter hit a Subway worker in the head with a blunt object.
"Obviously we have armed robberies all the time but the manner in which these were perpetrated, his aggression, his violence towards the victims was little bit unusual," said Sgt. Josh Carr with Louisville Metro Police.
Porter is charged in connection with nine robberies along Bardstown Road and Hikes Lane. Kontarovich was the getaway driver in the last three robberies and faces three counts of robbery, added police.
