LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police say they've ended a string of robberies, by putting two men behind bars.

Xavier Porter and Dmitry Kontarovich were arrested Thursday night after a short chase.

Police caught up with the two shortly after they reportedly robbed the Adam and Eve store on Hurstbourne Parkway.

Police say Porter would enter a business with a shotgun and demand money.

In one robbery officers say Porter hit a Subway worker in the head with a blunt object.

Porter is charged with 9 robberies in the Bardstown Road and Hikes Lane area.

Police say Kontarovich was the getaway driver in 3 robberies, and faces 3 counts of robbery.
