HOUSTON (AP) -- The U.S. Coast Guard is using boats and aircraft to search for four fishermen who are missing off the Texas Gulf Coast after their boat sank.
Petty Officer Richard Brahm says the Coast Guard received a distress signal from the 50-foot vessel at about 3:30 a.m. Friday.
The boat sank about 115 miles southeast of Galveston, not far from the Texas-Louisiana border.
There were five men onboard, and Brahm says one of them was rescued Friday.
Brahm says John Robinson was able to get onto a life raft, but Robinson did not know what had happened to his crewmates.
The Coast Guard has already searched a 2,000-square-mile area, and is using one cutter, two airplanes and one helicopter in the hunt.
