MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- The second suspect in the slaying of a western Kentucky couple has entered a guilty plea.
The Messenger reports 27-year-old Dustin McKinney entered the plea Friday in Hopkins Circuit Court to charges of murder, complicity to commit murder and burglary.
Prosecutors have said McKinney and Eddie Goodnight went to the home of Lynn and Mary Ann Moore, an elderly and disabled couple, to steal prescription pills and guns. While there, prosecutors say the men also killed the couple.
McKinney said he fatally shot Lynn Moore.
Prosecutors say Goodnight agreed to a similar plea deal about a week ago.
The newspaper cited the plea agreements in reporting both men would have to serve at least 20 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
